要如何\"用英文\"安慰對方? (因朋友是美國人)

那種時候，只要簡單地給予你的 condolence 就可以了不需要特別怎樣地用言語做出表現例如：可以說 "i'm so sorry" 或 "i'm so sorry about your loss"也可以說 "i'm thinking of you"然後可以問對方 "is there anything i can do to help?"如果是親近的好朋友，就更應該直接問可否幫忙做某件特定的事例如：不要說 "call me if there's anything i can do."而要說 "can i bring you dinner tomorrow night" 或 "can i help you with grocery shopping?" 之類的話但是不要用中國人的方法，說一些類似以下的話："s/he is in a better place."或 "i know how you feel."還是只說 "'i'm so sorry.." 或是 "please know that i am thinking of you." 就夠了上面那位大大所舉的例句，有些稍嫌輕浮、不禮貌，完全不適合朋友親戚去世的時候說><
