是 I hope my friends were happy.
還是 I hope my friends be happy.
哪一句才是正確的翻譯(文法是正確的)?

hope表"希望" 用未來式較恰當 因為還沒發生
例:I hope my friend(s) will be happy.

用I hope that也可以 樓上的用can表示"能夠" 需要也是可以加 但是用could語氣會比較維婉

"I hope my friends were happy." coz use 'were'.That means your friends not happy now.
i hope my friends will be happy
or"Hopefully,my friends will be happy in their life"
