Due to compitive situation, you have [to work harder.]Q:[]中, 是否可以變成--"to work more harder"?當然不可以啊hard的比較級就是harder, more 適用於多音節的比較級阿例如beautiful --> more beautifulcareful --> more careful可是單音節就只能夠在字尾加er而已喔例如few --> fewerold--> older hard--> harder因此如果說few--more fewerold--more olderhard--more harder全部都不對喔, 因為單音節比較級只能加er而已不過如果你想強調比較級, 則可以加上much 寫成公式就是much + 單音節單字ermuch + more + 多音節單字例如hard(努力)--harder(較努力)--much harder(較努力多了)beautiful(美麗)--more beautiful(較美麗)--much more beautiful (較美麗多了)

解 : 不可以 , 因為 " much + 比較級 " , 而 " very + 原級 "
所以要改成 : Due to compitive situation, you have [to work much harder.] 才對
再用一個例子看一次 :
1. Tom is a ( very good ) student .
2. Mary is ( much better ) than Tom .

本來是harder修飾work
現在是 more修飾 harder
然後more harder一起修飾work

不可以阿! 因為hard不到三音節，所以不用加more...直接用harder就可以了! more的話是加在音節比較多的字上...ex: more beautiful...這樣的!!!
