或者叫做a coat of paint, a layer of paint! The car has a beautiful finish. Some of the car finish has peeled off. Some of the car finish has flaked off. Some of the car finish has come off. Some of the car finish has been rubbed off. Some of the car finish has been wiped off. Some of the car finish has been scraped off. Some of the car finish has been scratched off. The paint on the iron door flaked off with time.(直接用paint就可以了)

1. The paint on the wall is chipping off.
2. The paint has come/peeled/worn/ off.
3. The paint was flaking off the walls.
The red paint on the gate will peel off gradually as time goes by.
