是要先念完３９元再念５角嗎？

兩種講法：
1. 正式的用法：Thirty-nine dollars and fifty cents
2. 口語的用法： Thirty-nine, fifty (你可以省略dollars and cents，如果你和對方都知道你們在講價錢，例如：
A: How much is this?
B: Thirty-nine, fifty.

如果只是單純的唸數字，通常來說，在說完”point”（”小數點”的意思）之後，後面的數字，要直接念，不加十、百、千等計量單位，而且可以兩個數字併在一起唸，但成對的算法，得從後面算起（也就是 1 23 45 67 或是 12 34），這樣講，有點複雜，請看以下舉例說明：
12.5 = Twelve point 5
12.53= Twelve point five three OR Twelve point fifty-three
(若是 12.03 = Twelve point zero three，”零”要照唸，可以念為”zero” 或是像字母的 "O"。但如果是講錢的話，如$12.03，就要唸成 Twelve dollars and three cents ---省略zero囉！)
12.536 = Twelve point five-three-six OR Twelve point five thirty-six
12.5367 = Twelve point five-three-six-seven OR Twelve point fifty three sixty seven
12.53672 = Twelve point five-three-six-seven-two OR Twelve point five thirty-six seventy two
