It suprised me when i first moved to the United States, because you have to have a car to go anywhere you want, even if you just want to buy a pack of chewing gums. In Taiwan, convenient stores are much more popular than malls, you can find one on the street, and two across the street. They are also quite different than the convenient stores in the U.S.. Most of the convenient stores are managing by induivals instead of big companies, they sell Taiwanese food, cigrattes, and drinks, and they open 24/7. Just by the definition, it is really convenient to have those convenient stores everywhere, because they help you to deliver goods but not just sell products, you only need to fill out a form and pay a small fee. And the goods will be there by tomorrow.
We have malls too, families like to get there to buy their daily supplies. Since most people in Taiwan don\'t have cars, so the malls deliver all the food and supplies to your house for no charge.
The malls in the United States are basically the same, but one thing interesting is they have pharmacy in each malls, and you need to have prescriptions to get your drugs. And all the prices on the products are tax included.

street. The convenience stores in Taiwan are also quite different than the convenient stores in the

of big companies. The stores have display items of Taiwanese food, cigrattes, and drinks, and they open 24/7. Just by its definition of "convenience store", it is really convenient to have
those convenience stores located at every corner.  They provide services like delivery services in addition to selling goods.  What you only need to do is to fill out a form and
pay a small fee. And the goods will be delivered there by one day.In Taiwan, there are malls too. Families like to get there to buy their daily supplies and groceries.

They are also quite different than the convenient stores in the U.S..

We have malls too, families like to get there to buy their daily supplies. Since most people in Taiwan don't have cars, so the malls deliver all the food and supplies to your house for no charge.
