another:有兩種用法
1.[不定代名詞,單數]另一個
ex. Give me another.這裡的another是代名詞，指另外一個，但沒有特定指另外哪一個。
2.[不定形容詞,單數]另一個
ex. Show me another jacket.
這裡的another是當形容詞用，指另外一件夾克，但沒有特定指哪一件夾克。
other:[不定形容詞,複數]其他的
ex. Show me other jackets.→拿其他件夾克給我看。這裡other 是指其他的(夾克)，不只一件。
others:[不定代名詞,複數]其他，別人
ex.Give me others.這裡的others是代名詞，代表其他的，不特定指哪些。

another 是指無限定物品的形容詞. 例如: Can I have another apple pie?
這裡的apple pie並沒有限定要哪一塊,只是想再吃一塊而已.所以在餐廳中
你的飲料喝完了,侍者要幫你續杯是說"Do you need another one?"
other 跟another一樣,都是指沒限定的形容詞,只是是用在複數.例如: I don't have
any other friends"(我沒有其他的朋友)
the other 有定冠詞 THE, 自然這裡是說有限定的物品,例如你看上兩件毛衣A跟B
如果你買了A,剩下B就是the other one.因為討論的東西是限定在A跟B
你說" I'd like to take the blue one."(你買了A),
你朋友說:"ok, I'll buy the other one."(你朋友說她就買另一個吧)
the others 跟the other用法一樣,是說一堆有限定的物品,是用在複數上
指特定團體或是複數物品中A群跟B群
因此,如果你班上有40個學生, 1個人喝紅茶,39個人喝水
你想說1個人喝茶,其餘的喝水.由於這裡的"其餘的人"已經是
指某限定團體內的特定的人,不是隨便街上的其他的人
因此要說"the others drank water" 或是 "the other students drank water"
可當代名詞或是形容詞用
