請問該怎麼使用關係代名詞？

請問關係代名詞要如何使用？
我在什麼時候要用who、whom、which、what、that
實在搞不懂耶

關係代名詞 (Relative Pronoun)的用法I.   定義：(1) 用以連接兩個句子(2) 代替其前面的名詞<先行詞>，且(3) 當子句中的主詞、受詞或所有格。II. 型態先行詞主詞受詞所有格人whowhomwhose事物whichwhichWhose (of which)人、事物thatthatX事物what, whatever(包括先行詞)What, whatever(包括先行詞)XIII.用法：除what (whatever) 引導一名詞子句(包括先行詞)外，皆引導一形容詞子句，形容其前面的先行詞。(1) I know the man who is standing over there. who是用作動詞的主體,用意詢問人的名字,身分,職位.
譬如: who did you see at church?=你在教堂時看見誰了?
who is the woman in the black hat?=戴黑帽的女人是誰?
he is Jay who is a singer.他是當歌手的jay.

whom使用作動詞或介詞的賓語.
譬如:to whom should i refer the matter?=我應該找誰辦這件事?
by whom was the order executed?=這項命令是誰執行的?

which是用以要求某人在有限數量中指明某人或某事.
譬如:which Mr Smith you mean?你所指得史密夫先生是那一位?
which is your girlfriend?那一位是你的女朋友?

what是"甚麼"的意思.what是沒有限定一個數量的...
譬如:what's the matter?發生甚麼事了?
what kind of girlfriend you like?你喜歡甚麼類型的女朋友?

that是指"那個"...that是用以引導名詞之後的限定從句,尤指表示事務.
譬如: The clothes that on the floor are dirty.=那些在地上的衣服骯髒了.
The letter that came this morning is from my father.=今早那封信是我父親寄來的.

其實查字典是最有幫助的了...

who跟whom用來代替"人"。
which用來代替"物"。
that則是在通常的狀態下，二者皆可。
可用來代替who,which.
whom則不可。
what基本上不算關係代名詞。
