聽了 Michael 的說法後,我終於了解,為何朋友(老外)說,Peter 留在他朋友家。他舉例子...
Peter is going to leave at his friend's house. -- Peter 將離開
另一句,就是我問的,被留下
但是....這是文法問題嗎? 還是片語啊(我查不到此片語)
實在搞不懂...

be going to=will
be left是被動式沒錯~意為被留下,被遺棄,被委託給...
Peter will be left at his friend's house.
Peter將被留在他朋友家
這可能是peter的爸媽把他留在那或是他朋友要他留下來
不是他要將要離開他朋友家
因為如果是他要離開他朋友家
應該說Peter is going to leave his friend's house.

be left是被留下的意思~並不是離開!

所以翻譯成:「彼得將被留在他的朋友家。」
