請問 both/either/neither的文法

Question

請問 both/either/neither 何時該+ of ?何時不該+ of ?
可有特定規則,或協助記憶及辨識的方法?
許多文法書上不是沒有特別說明,再不就是說法不一(已經被混淆了@@...)

我比較笨!可以再說清楚點嗎?
我知道both/either/neither的分別,我的問題在於加不加of

Q ：請問 both/either/neither何時該 + of ? 何時不該+ of ?

答：both/either/neither都可以當 (A) 代名詞 (B) 形容詞；當代名詞時才須要+ of。
※說明：
A.當代名詞時：
(1) Both of my brothers study in colleges. 我2個弟第 (哥哥) 都在大學唸書。
(2) You can choose either of the books. 你可以隨便從中 (只有2本) 挑一本書。
(3) I don't like neither of the girls. 這2個女孩我都不喜歡。

B.當形容詞時：則不+of
(1) Both my brothers study in colleges. 我2個弟第 (哥哥) 都在大學唸書。
(2) You can choose either book from the two. 你可以隨便從中挑一本書。
(3) Neither girls did not come. 2個女孩都沒來。

C. 其它：
(1) Both A and B：A與B都是
(2) neither A or B：A與B其中之一是
(3) neither A or B： A與B都不是

請先看兩個關於both的例句
1)Andy and his brother woke up at 9 o'clock this morning.
Both of them were late.
2)I love the dolls of HelloKitty and her boyfriend, Daniel, and I got both of them.
通常句子前面會先提到"兩種"人/事/物, 之後用[both+of+代名詞]來再一次提到那"兩種"人/事/物.
e.x. both of us/ both of you/ both of them/ both of Mary and Jenny

"either A or B"
表示A和B之中只能選一個,不可以兩個都選.

"neither A nor B"
表示A和B通通都不可以選.
