might在中文裡常用來被翻成什麼意思呢？

…我自已也有查過這單字的意思---「權力、勢力、威力、才智、腕力」就這些
但是我在別的地方查到了這一句英文句子如下：
Please call before you come,otherwise we might not be home.
意思是：你來之前先打個電話，否則我們可能不在家。
這裡面好像沒有我自已查到裡面的其中一個意思啊…
那到底常被拿來翻成什麼意思呢？？

其實ｍｉｇｈｔ通常都是以ｍａｙ的過去式出現
所以大部分都是當做＞可能．會．應該＜的意思出現
不過當然還是要看文意才可以判斷那個單字是什麼意思
而你說的權利．勢力．威力那些都是名詞通常不會像你查到的那一句一樣
名詞都是接在所有格後面或是一個句子的開頭較多的
而可能．會．應該的是助動詞　出現在句子裡就大多會在動詞之前了
