and 的前面加逗點的時機?

What is the difference between "........ and ........." and "............. , and .............."?
[ex] Three students are from Taipei and include two girls, aged 13 and 15, and a 60-year-old man.
有些時候 and 前要加逗點,有時又不加,真的搞的頭很大? (還是有加沒加都可以呢?) 方便的話是不是可以多舉幾種不同的例子, thank you.

（一）       配合同一主詞（不加逗點）I like red, blue and black.我喜歡紅色，藍色與黑色。（二）       連接不同句子／主詞（要加逗點）I like red, blue and black, and Peter likes white and green.我喜歡紅色，藍色與黑色，而彼得喜歡白色與綠色。你的例句：Three students are from Taipei and include two girls, aged 13 and 15, and a 60-year-old man.三個從台北來的學生裡包括兩個女孩，13歲與15歲，以及一個60歲的男人。1. two girls, aged 13 and 15 ＝ 兩個女孩，13歲與15歲（這裡的逗點是因為後面的年齡為補充與兩個女孩相關的資料；而這裡的and之前不加逗點是因為配合同一主詞．．．>兩個女孩／年齡）2. , and a 60-year-old man.＝，以及一個60歲的男人。（這裡的逗點是連接後面不同的句子．．．>一個60歲的男人）
