知之為知之，不知為不知，是知也...這句話翻譯成英文？

Question

子曰：「由！誨女知之乎！知之為知之，不知為不知，是知也。」
當中的『知之為知之，不知為不知，是知也。』如何翻譯成英文？

就算This is Wisdom比較有深度，但那不是孔夫子的原意(是知也，非智也)。若不是在詮釋論語，你想說This is Truth(真理)、This is Cliche(老生常談)都行。

If you can tell the differences between what you know and what you don't (know), then you have already obtained    the (true) knowledge.If you can tell what you already knew from what you still don't, (then) you have acquired the knowledge (already).If you know the differences between what you know and what you don't (know), then you have achieved the                 purpose of learning.
