答案是 a - set about著手,開始(做)He set about learning Chinese at age ten.他在十歲時開始學中文。She set about her housework straight after breakfast.她早飯後立即著手料理家務。

答案當然是a
to set about sth/doing sth
to set out也有開始的意思.但是它後面不會接分詞.而且它是比較具目標的大事的開始
to set about是平常著手開始要做什麼事都可以用的
這沒有英美語之分好嗎?

答案應該是A。若要用C,那就要把句子改成set out to contact...

這一題 不知其他高手有何指教 我也是認為 答案不是 A 就是 C... 我平常是用 C, 可是考試會不會 A 比較正確些呢?

"set out" is correct. That's like saying "head out". It's more of an English term instead of American term.

在美國的話 是用
C) set out

意思是第三個用法 3 : to begin with a definite purpose : INTEND, UNDERTAKE
intransitive senses : to start out on a course, a journey, or a career
在此他們要去找公寓 就象要找工作一樣的緊要 所以是像INTEND的用法一樣

to contact = contacting
contacting is more on-going on the run kinda feeling, that's all
