[15點]英文文法選擇問題,求助語文高手?

**這一題老師說不能選(d)的原因是因為measure是不及物動詞,所以沒有被動語態,可是我覺得測量不都是測量一個"東西"嗎? 怎麼會不及物呢??

(b) even though
(c) even
(d) despite

**這一題我是覺得用(c)為什麼會不對我不太了解老師沒說,他只說用despite是介係詞,那他的後面是要加名詞嗎?如果是的話,那用despite這一句應該怎麼改?
另外even if ,even though , although , even ,despite 他們該要如何分辨? 我有些搞混??

1. measure 當及物不及動詞時, 用法不同, 要加以分辨

vt. 測量 (vt. 及物動詞, 後面加受詞)
* 人 measure + 被測量的物體

vi. (不及物動詞)
(量起來)有...長(或寬,高等)
*物 measure+ 數字+ 單位
The string measures 100 cm.
這線長100公分。

2.They decided to continue the game_______it was raining.
(a) even although 沒有這種用法
(b) even though 即使 (副詞連接詞)
(c) even 甚至 (副詞) (增強語氣, 沒有連接句子的功能)
(d) despite 儘管, 不管(介詞)

介係詞+ 名詞 (這是一定的)
They decided to continue the game_______it was raining.
這是兩句
They decided to continue the game.
It was raining.
介詞只能+ 名詞, 不能直接用來+ 句子
必須用"副詞連接詞"去連接前後兩個句子: before, after, because, when , though...

even if ,even though , although , even ,despite 分類解說

副詞連接詞
even if = even though 即使
although=though 雖然, 但though不放句首

副詞
even (副詞) 即使 (沒有連接功用, 加強語氣, 去掉句子也不變)

介詞+ N
despite 儘管 = in spite of
後加句子時, 必須用 despite the fact that, in spite of the fact that (高中會學)

1.The room measures fifteen feet across.
所謂不及物就是指說後面不可以直接接東西,需要加上介系詞
ex. I am afraid of the dog.
但如果是及物就表示可以直接接你要接的東西,不需要加上任何介系詞
ex. We measure the distance.(measure在這裡是指"測量"的意思)

但句子中的measure是指"有~~長/寬/高"
所以本身就已經有被動的意思
整句翻譯就是"這個房子有15英尺寬"

2.They decide to continue the game even thoughit ws raining.
首先,因為even後面不接句子而是接"片語,名詞"等等,所以在這裡不可以用even
evem if/even though-----接句子(有主詞有動詞叫做句子)
despite---接名詞或片語
如必須要接一個句子則須變成
despie the fact that 主詞+動詞 ,主詞+動詞
although----為一個連接詞(連接兩個完整句子)
ex. Although it was raining outside, I still weent out.
注意!!因為一個句子只能有一個連接詞,所以although跟but不可以同時出現喔!!
只能用其中一個,所以剛剛那個句子可以改成
ex.It was raining outside, but I still went out.
