(1). (深度,高度,數量,時間等)到...程度,一直到
EX：I had waited for him up to 8:00.
我一直等他到八點

(2). 與...匹敵,相當
EX：You are the only one who can up to him.
你是唯一能和他匹敵的人.

(3). 忙於...的;密謀...的
EX：I was up to the business for a long time.
我長久以來都一直忙碌於公事.

(4). (通常在否定句)有做...的能力的;勝認...的
EX：Ann can't up to this job.
安無法勝任這個工作.

(5). 【美】取決於...的;須由...決定的
EX：It's up to you.
一切由你決定。
(這是美國人很常用的一句話喔，蕭亞軒代言化妝產品時廣告台詞就是這句話^^)

(6). 是...的職責
EX：This accident is up to Bob.
這個意外事故是Bob的責任。



2.hit the big time ：聲勢如日中天
EX：The singer has been hit the big time .
這個歌手目前聲勢如日中天。


3.go for it 努力爭取;冒險嘗試
EX：When she heard about the chance for promotion, she decided to go for it.
當她聽到升遷的機會時,她決定冒險一試。


我盡量想了簡單清晰的例句，go for it 的例句是奇摩字典上的
