When listening to the broadcasting of Advanced Studio, I almost can capture all the words, but while watching films..I find myself deaf to the lines sigh.
do u guys get any ideas to improve that?

well....Frankly speaking, the Advanced magazine is seeminly regarded as the dintinguished one for self-learning English materials...actually,I just grasped the content by listening without buying any

....I thought my skill of listening previously is better than average..after the realistic test..I failed to catch the overall concept of certain long-term conversation....as u mentioned the slang or sth colloquial...can u offer any information to me? millions thx

Sometimes it's the same to me. That's what I'm doing to improve. Watch the movie first time without the subtitle, you will have the idea of what's going on. ...

Then watch it second time with subtitle, stop the film at the place that you don't understand, and repeat this as many times as you need. Last, watch it without the subtitle again, you'll find it a lot easier to understand.

It takes time, I think. As you concentrate on only one thing while you're listening. However, watching TV programs or movies is a different case. You're actually doing two things at the same time. I don't have that problem when I am reading the subtitle, but I do missing words when my focus is on scenes.
