為什第一句不加" to the"　？？？

第二句不加" the " 　？？？

其實全部都在於需不需要the!!!
第一句:
Bed, work, home通常都不加the。
ex:I don't want to go to bed.
【註】當bed指特定的一張床時，可加the。
ex: Don't jump on the bed!
其他例子:
ex: Alice is in bed with a headache.
ex: Joe doesn't have to go to work this week.
ex: Lee is staying for the night. She's going home tomorrow.
ex: Is anyone at home?
另外,home之前也不加介詞 to 喔,因為home在此是地方副詞不是名詞!

第二句:
School, prison, hospital, church, university等地點指特定的一間時，
必須加the。
若不是特定的一間時，則不必加the，也不加a或an。
不特定:
ex: Mia goes to school everyday.
ex: Pete is an atheist. He never goes to church.
特定:
ex: Mia's mother went to the school to talk to her teacher.
ex: I go to the church near the park every Sunday.

第三句:
因為train station有指特定的,所以必須加the!

1. home在這當副詞,而副詞不能為介係詞所修飾,所以on my way home就不用加to (the)了!!這個用法跟以下兩的比起來比較特殊,除了home之外,我暫時想不到其他的例子!2. 我們說go to school (去上學), school表上學的功能,不算是一個地方,所以去上學的途中就是 on my way to school; 可是如果你把學校當作是一個建築物,你只是要去那個地方,你不一定是學生的話,那當然就可以說 on my way to the school (我去那所學校的路上)!!其他例子如: on my way to church (我去做禮拜的途中,強調做禮拜的功能,不強調地方)on my way to the church (我去教堂途中,我不一定是教徒,我可能只是要到那的地方找人而已)3. 火車站只是個建築物,是一個實體,所以on my way to the train station 就要加the了!
