動手術在中文的意思可以指:醫生幫病人做:The surgeon is carrying out / performing an operation.病人接收醫生的治療:The patient had / undergone two major operations in two weeks.此外,手術也可以用surgery這個字來替代,而且我們通常所說的整形手術就是用這個字: plastic surgery OR cosmetic surgery
