confused 指人的感受-- I'm confused. (我很困惑!)confusing則指人事物的特質--The question is confusing. (這個問題有點混淆不清--看的人會覺得它很令人困惑)interested 人感興趣: He's interested in music. (他對音樂有興趣)interesting 人事物很有趣: He is interesting.  (他這個人很有趣--會讓別人對他有興趣.)再對照一下以下幾組例子你會更清楚:I'm tired.  ---->  The work is tiring.I'm bored. ---->  The speaker is boring.I'm surprised. ---->  The result is surprising.I feel embarrassed. ---->  The experience is embarrassing.We're excited. ----> The news is exciting.這樣你清楚了嗎?至於你的第二個問題牽涉到被動句的觀念,其實已經有很多人問過了,你可以去查查,我做個簡單的解釋:被動句的基本原則是只有及物動詞才會有被動句的寫法,不及物動詞是不行的,suffer可以是不及物動詞,所以人的受苦是主動的語氣而不是被動,"He is suffered"就是錯誤的說法了!!而如果suffer是及物動詞的話,寫法應該是 "He has suffered great pain."如果要改成被動的話,也不是人(he)當主詞,應該要寫成"Great pain has been suffered."
