因為C本身也是一個被動式
The first textile mills (which were) established ......這個句子很明顯是正確的,那加了(to be established)有什麼用意呢?
還有我在遠東第四冊第8課有看到這樣的句子
Trees were being knocked down.
那如果我要把它改成關代,把were省略掉
Trees being knocked down were near my house.
這樣的句子是對的還是錯的?
如果這樣的句子是對的,那為什麼第一句的being established不對呢?

原句應該為The first textile mills which were established in the United State were located in New England. 其中如果關係代名詞which省略,一般而言,後面的動詞應為V+ing(being)。因為其為被動式,最好能將which were同時省略最好。答案中沒有(established),因此,以(D)的不定詞片語修飾textile mills最好。

回答Wish:be+p.p.表示被動,不會有過去的意思。如果表是「正在」或「現在」,應該是be+Ving。知道嗎?!上述的中文意思為「第一個在美國所蓋(建造)的紡織工廠是位於新英格蘭地區。因為紡織工廠是被人蓋的,因此要用被動式。

我不太確定
不過選c好像有"正在"或"現在"的意思吧?
但後面是"were"是過去式
如果我有錯的話請糾正我
