I'm not sure that you are Thai people or not because all your questions used English. If you are Thai, kindly ask in Thai you will get the fine information as well. Fifty percentage of Thai people were neck laces but only ten percentage believe and wear Thai amulets because there are many reasons for theirs wearing depend on personnel desired. The following message is not the answer, I'm just introduce myself, I worked in the company but I use my sparetime collecting Phra and amulet. I have the acknowledgement about it. I hope you will open yours too.

Its to keep the spirits happy with our prayers and sure, you can ask all the questions you wish of Nangwak Deity, but will they answer you in the way in which you expect?
Instead of asking for something for yourself, ask for something to help someone else, then the spirits will smile down upon you and grant your wishes for something that you have been waiting for, for a very long time.

True Buddists don't believe in any objects or amulets.We might hang it to remind us to do good things not hang for protecting us from devil and nice monks won't give lottery number.
