Because almost everybody in your country said we were a bunch of fags for not approving your president's irakian adventure.
4 years later, can you honestly say it was a good thing to illegally attack this country the way you did ? Did you find WMD ? Is the life better in Irak now ?

The answer to your question can be summed up in a word : IMPERIALISM...

PS : I'm not mean to Americans, except when they're mean to the world...

I think a lot of Americans are mean to the French as well, you know.

Generally speaking, a lot of French people like America and part of its culture.

Then, if you're talking about tourists who can't say the most basic sentences in French (Excusez-moi, je ne aprle pas francais) and who expect us all to speak English or find it outrageous that restaurants are not open sooner, then, I don't see why we should habe to be nice to them (since most people won't actually understand them).

I think it goes both ways. What's more, you should go to other countries, such as England, where your government policies are not very appreciated. The French are not the only ones who disagreed with the war in Iraq, or who disagree with some of your foreign policies. America being very influential, whether it be in terms of money or culture or other things, a lot of people are bound to have a string opinion about your government policies. That being said, I think a ot of French people make the difference between Americans and their government.

I think you're wrong! And I guess that most French people think exactly the same about Americans. Why are there so many jokes and stereotypes about French people? We don't like your government for all the chaos that it spreads in the world, but the majority of French people do make a difference between your government and the people who did not ask for it. Don't take the media for granted: we are NOT anti-American.
Also, we have different cultures. We should take this as a source of enrichment, not as a source of conflicts.

Why are the Americans so mean to Frenchies?
- Why the Americans betrayed the French in Indochina in 1953? Read Nixon's memories...
- Why Americans listen to themselves only?
- why Americans are so mean to Irakies?
Open your eyes my dear!
