it IS a global reputation as I have traveled to over 32 countries, many in Europe. I just wondered if the French were aware of it. I love my country, we have a reputation for being THE BEST. As young as the US is look at all we have accomplished. We regularly save the day, defend freedom, give people from all nations a chance at happiness. Why do you think so many people want to come live here? By the way, when the radical Muslims in your country cause more chaos, don't cry to us. I hope that they don't blow up any big buildings there, France has a problem with this population and it will cause pain for your people.

Well, what do the Americans have to say about their arrogance? I too have travelled far and wide, and met people of all hues...and do you know what the majority opinion on America is? That Americans are arrogant and haughty, that they go around the world passing comments on others...And then I met this American couple on sabbatical in Paris who wondered why they as Americans, were hated everywhere why they went!
Now, dear, you do wonder why, don't you? Now don't task that little brain of yours, it might give you a headache...

well, first, as far as I know, it's not a global reputation, it's an American reputation. Americans should first stop thinking they ARE the world and noone counts but them. Second, we're not more or less cowards that the rest of our European fellows. We don't feel hurt when we hear such stupid things from the US, cause we have a very long history and took part in lots of wars, whereas America is a baby nation with only two centuries of History. Moreover, your nation as a whole never knew how it feels when your country is directly threatened and invaded. I'm not sure the average American would feel so brave with some soldiers in his yard threatening his kids, raping his wife and stealing his food. War is a far-away concept implying only soldiers in a foreign country for you, French people experienced it in their flesh...
So we won't let a narrow-minded warmonger like Bushie teach us lessons about History.
We respect those who died to free us in WWII, but don't expect us to tell you you were right to go to Iraq. We did not go because it was not a good thing, and every dead American soldier prooves us everyday that we were right...

Well, I don't know. But your experience in Vietnam and in Somalia should make you think twice about your own soldiers.
The American army is good at bombing from a 10 kilometers height but when it comes to close combat, it's another story....
By the way, why are you so aggressive and scornful? Do you fully realize that your attitude is a shame for your country?
You must be evangelist to have so blue-eyed simplistic ideas
about yourself, your country,its reputation and the way you look at the rest of the world. And still very young. A baby intelligence in any case.
