Well, if you get the free version it's kind of illegal, if you get the PRO version, which is paid, it's absolutely legal. Anyway, I'm not sure, sorry...
But dont worry, use it freely and with no fear, it's awesome!!! I have hundreds of music files and a dozen or more of movies, some of them with a really high quality, it's better than Ares...

El programa en si no es ilegal, lo ilegal es descargar archivos que tienen derechos de autor(musica,juegos,la mayoria de programas,videos,etc etc)

I think so, unless its not in the US.
I'm sure if you are american and using it to download copy writed stuff, you can be fined.

el limewire no es ilegal, lo ilegal es el uso que se lada para bajar musica
ya que el programa es para compartir archivos
y ahi viene lo ilegal
es ilegal bajar musica de internet sin haber pagado un costo
vamos!!! pero quien paga por los mp3
tengo mas de 10000 canciones mp3 y lo unico que he pagado es mi cuota mensual de internet
