When a person breathes or your heart stops because they are unconscious, it is not a technique that can save your life. This technique is a combination of mouth-to-mouth rescue and chest compression. The main result of this technique is to keep the blood flowing to vital organs like the brain until medical treatment restores a normal heart rhythm.
Only a few minutes are sufficient for oxygenated blood to stop to the brain, causing irreparable damage to this organ. Death will follow eight to ten minutes later.
Before starting CPR, take the following issues into consideration:
_ Check if the person is conscious or unconscious. if the person appears unconscious, shaking his shoulder and ask a question.
- If the person says no, call an ambulance immediately.

REMEMBER THE BASIC STEPS FOR ADULTS
1. Put the person on his back on a firm surface.
2. Kneel next to the neck and shoulders of the person.
3. Open the airway of the person: put your palm on the person's forehead and gently push down while lifting the front of the chin to open the airway with the other hand.
4. Check for normal breathing: look for chest movement, listen for breath sounds, and feel the breath of the person on the cheek and ear. if the person is not breathing normally start giving mouth to mouth resuscitation.
5. Pinch the nostrils for rescue breathing and cover the person's mouth with yours, making a seal.
6. Give rescue breath - lasting one second - and watch to see if the chest rises. if he does not get up, give a second breath. if not lifted, repeat step 3 and then give the second breath.
7. Begin chest compressions.
8. Place the heel of one hand on the center of the chest of the person. Place the other hand on top of the first hand. Keep your elbows straight and position your shoulders directly over your hands.
9. Push down hard and fast chest.
10. After 30 compressions, tilt the head back and lift the chin to open the airway. Prepare to give two rescue breaths. Pinch the nose shut and breathe through your mouth for a second. If the chest rises, give a second rescue breath. That's a cycle. If another person is available, ask that person to give two breaths after you do 30 compressions.
11. Continue CPR until there are signs of movement or until emergency medical help arrives

CPR should be used when a person's heart has stopped pumping due to drowning, drug overdose, asphyxia, etc. it will be successful when applied right after the problem emerged and the doctor is not around.
Organizations like the Red Cross offer training courses for anyone who wants to be prepared for such emergencies
Everyone should be aware that this useful technique is used for the sole purpose of keeping the blood that carries oxygen to the brain until professional help the patient and appropriate therapy for that particular case applies.
