tu che chiedi aiuto per l'inglese!!!! it looks really strange to me!!
siccome in inglese nave non è femminile... non si può usare she, in italiano è la nave... ma in inglese no quindi direi:
The ship was already sailing on the river. On the bank a tall building was looking down, while it was going upstream...
oppure invece di it, che mi suona strano si potrebbe lasciare the ship oppure usare un sinonimo : the vessel
