You didn't write where you live. If you are in Germany it is helpful to meet as many people as possible, to watch the news, listen to radio stations that have a significant part of the programme in german, like "Deutschlandfunk".

Hello Bella,
for to learn the language, you should rather go out. An announcement in a newspaper in your region could possibly help you.
German "Volkshochschule" offers courses for learning German as well. That would not be too expensive.
Perhaps you are lucky and find s.o. in the net to correspond with. But I think the better alternative would be speaking yourself with people in your surrounding.

it isn't very hard, could teach you, depending on where you live, over the internet or phone is a bit tricky. I'm britisch and have been livin here since 1999, learned german in around 6 months.
