Weil P. J. Harvey bei "Send His Love To Me" ein bisschen wie Patty Smith klingt, habe ich mir das Album "To Bring You My Love" besorgt. Ausgewogenheit und zugleich Intensität haben mich bei diesem Album schier umgehauen, es ist eine Schande, dass ich erst jetzt drauf komme. Welche CD von P. J. Harvey ist noch besser?

Ich habe von PJ noch 'Is This Desire?' und 'Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea'. Ich höre trotzdem meistens die Lieder von 'To Bring You My Love'. Bin da auch zufällig über die Kaufempfehlung bei Amazon draufgestoßen. Ist doch manchmal praktisch.

I must add that if you haven't heard PJ Harvey (the name of the woman,
Polly Jean, and her band), you simply must. She is the best thing to hit
the music world since I've been listening.
In addition to Dry and Rid of Me, she's got an album called 4-Track Demos,
which is my personal favorite. It's just her doing all the music, as far
as I can tell, and she does more experimenting than she did on her two
professionally recorded albums.
In my opinion, Polly Harvey is particularly gifted with regards to rhythms and lyric writing, as well as overall experimentation. Her voice is incredible, and she plays a mean guitar. And she has a way of writing from a distinctly feminine point of view, without sounding like a girly-girl or a radical feminist. She's just incredible. You must hear her if you care anything about music.
