Will the French ever get a strong leader to bring them back to a legitimate world power?

Are the French upset that they have lost power and prestige in the world. The French used to be the most powerful country in the world and now they're not even in the top 5 in world power. China, USA, Britain, India, Russia and even Germany have more sway than the French do.

Politically, France is still a power and a leader (remember the controversy on the Iraq issue in 2003), and it's still legitimate as you growingly realise that there wasn't any WMD in Iraq and that this conflict cannot end but with the partition of the country or/and a terrible civil war in a region that your government wanted to be pacified. Nothing but what France said at this time.
France still has a future as world power, but only as a (leading)part of the european union. Alone it cannot match the USA and China.
Are you aware that this century is the one that will see China to become the greatest superpower in history, outweighting by far any other states, including the USA ?

You know the power and the prestige is only a temporal thing! The most important it's only the life and the peace!

But for you knowledge France is members of G8 (8 countries more rich in the world power). France is member of United States 5 members who can give a veto....
French language is spoken by a lot of person in the world... In addition France is only a country of a big Union (like United States) it's the European Union... A biggest country than USA (in the number of people)... biggest than Russian, Indian or China for the economic power.... Think about that... Euro... Euro will take the first place of international money... One day oil will be paid with euro... Because arabic country hate america and prefer to be paid with euro (like iran today and irak before (that's the reason why bush and blair have attack irak and not for the false weapon...)


So it's not an important stuf for french guys to be first or last... because our history have more than 2000 years... and the experience and knowledge of France give help everyday to every people in this planet...
