when he realizes everything is mechanical behaviour to what is imposed on us by society, when the wife stops seeing love as something precious and starts seeing marriage as a society, or both, they see it as a society rather than an oppotunity to grow, therefore whatever is what joins you together, apart from it there most be love in between and both have to fight to keep their individual interests and look as those of the other both with respect and joy
