I am Manu from Gurdaspur(punjab),India.I have passed my senior secondary equivalent to 12th standard in Medical stream ie. which includes subjects Physics,Chemistry and Biology.I got aggregate 71.66% in these subjects. Now I am planning to study abroad.Grown with the aim of being a Medical specialist I chose medical stream. As India is much populated country, here students like us who are capable of doing something are not even given a chance to do something for our family and country. So frustrated from this education condition,we have to move other countries. So forgetting this condition,I am planning to get degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of surgery from some other country which give a chance to students to do something.I have studied education systems of various countries like Canada,Australia and Usa which are giving chance to study abroad. As whole Europe is also becoming a part of those countries which provide international education,France is also a part of that.So please tell me the good universities or colleges which can give me admission to this course. Also I want to know about the costs,living,part-time jobs and especially financial help provided to international students by france government.Because these days are very crucial to decide so please give the response as soon as possible so that I can get admission soon or if not then can apply for some other commonwealth country. Also I don't know french language and if there is substitute for this language then tell or we have to learn speaking then also tell.

Waiting for response....

Manu

Well not really sure but I think that if you wish to study medecine and surgery in France you will have to be able to speak French so this mean that you may have to take some language course as well.

Anyway here you will find many links with addresses for what you are looking for (infortunalty they look to be all in French)

Hi! I'm qualified from Cambridge University wiz same subjects as u, b4 been admitted in Montpellier Medical Faculty (in the south of France). No, there isn't any substitute 4language. You will have to be good in both written & oral french. You will not be qualified with a state award, "Diplôme d'Etat", unless you succeed the very first year competitive exams "PCEM 1". Do email me if you need further info. Good luck !

Hello,
The fact that you are not speaking French will be a big problem for you. But some universities propose intensive courses (usually from july to septembre) for foreign students. For financial help from french government (unfortunately) you are dreaming. Usually financial help is reserved for specific program (like Erasmus for European Students). For non european students, financial help corresponds to direc cooperation between universities. So you should contact your university to know if they have special arrangements with foreign universities.

Unfortunately, noone can understand your (very long !) question. I am english, and went to a french university, so am able to give you some info.
First of all, I can't help thinking it would be very difficult for you to study medicine and surgery if all the lectures are in french... nevertheless, on a more practical level, the french governement gives grants to students. During the first couple of years when I was at uni, I payed nothing at all, and the grant payed for accomodation, food etc ...
It seems difficult to go into detail, because I'm not sure what you want to know. The education system is different in France, and of course you would have to find out how to apply to a french university from India, which is probably compicated but possible.
I will try to answer any other questions if you have any.
