There is no easy way. My husband has been learning german for almost 10 years now, and he still gets it wrong sometimes. The only thing is practice!

I taught german in the us and for most people it's the hardest to learn the articles since there are rules but also a lot of exeptions.
The easiest way I always told my students is to learn each new noun together with the artikel.
A good way is to use the old fashion cards. Write the english word on one side and the german word with the article on the other side.
in example: table - der Tisch
oh, and another idea you might wanna think of is to use the plural. since every noun becomes "die" in the plural hehe, just kidding.
There is also a really good free website, where you can learn german: http://german.about.com/
there you can take lessons or practice your grammar and vocabulary etc.
Another good site is: http://dict.leo.org/ende?lang=en&lp=ende&search=
it's a dictionary but you can open your own vocabulary trainer and add the new words you learned and test yourself. It's for free too. It also has the option if you click on the right side of the searched word on the little info button you can listen to the word in either english or german plus it tells you the gender ( neuter = das, feminin = die, masculin = der )
Hope that will help, have fun to learn the new language. And never give up ;-)

it is not easy.
you will have to learn it.
we have 3 articles
female, male, and neutral
die , der es
but there is no rule to tell you what object is male or female..
in every language it is different.
f.e.
the sun
die sonne (female)
o SOL ( male)

Sorry to tell u that but you´ll have to learn it by heart, and by listening to spoken german so that you will get a feeling for which way it´s right. You know it from your own language that you just know how to pronounce words and to say what in which context.
Its all about practice and listening and after a while you will hear yourself whats right or wrong, but it will take time to get there.
German is a very difficult language to learn, even for germans.
I wish you the very best of luck and much success!!

Well, I´m sorry
There IS no way but to learn it with your vocabulary
There is no visible logic how to use either of them
A "girl" eg - although female- has got the neuter gender "das"
Could be explained by history and development, but that is difficult for a foreigner
So - do some good learning
regards

You mean...how to learn to ehich word which "Artikel" belongs?
In many cases female and male depends on the sex..animals for examples.... in all other cases....you have to learn it by heard. There is no rule why it is DER STUHL and DIE Sorge...
