"Who´s next" von The Who
Wie originell Pete Townsend auf diesem Album den Synthesizer einsetzt, ist einfach weltklasse: Nicht als ein Instrument zur Effekthascherei oder als bloßen Gimmick (die Platte ist von 1971), sondern als feinen, dezenten Rhythmusgeber, der aber den Songs einen einzigartigen Stempel aufdrückt.
Die Platte ist einfach perfekt: Das brachiale Schlagzeug von Keith Moon, die stoischen Bassläufe von John Entwistle, entfesselte Gitarrensoli von Pete Townsend und ein Roger Daltrey in der stimmlichen Form seines Lebens machen dieses Album zu einem unsterblichen Klassiker.
Vom feinen Opener " Baba O'Riley" bis zum entfesselten "Won´t get fooled again" ein einziges Vergnügen!

Led Zeppelin IV als LP - in der originalen Version zum aufklappen. Warum? Purer Hörgenuss. Es rockt - und da ist Stairway to Heaven drauf. Hammer! Misty Mountain Hop und The Battle of Evermore waren wegweisend.
Und ich sage das, obwohl die Jungs VOR meiner Zeit waren. Ich bin mit Pearl Jam aufgewachsen ;-)

Led Zeppelin ~ Led Zeppelin IV (das beste Rock album aller Zeiten, imho)
Rolling Stones ~ Sticky Fingers (wenn du noch garnichts von den Stones hast, dann "Forty Licks")
neuere Musik:
Pearl Jam ~ Ten (nach "Nevermind" das beste Album der frühen 90er)
Queens of the Stone Age ~ "Rated R" oder "Songs For The Deaf" (damit Ich auch ein Metal album nenne ;-))
