if we were friends i would be very glad to help you; Unfortunately, i don t know you - and my wife is quite angry i spend 1h30min everyday on internet... and french takes quite long to be learnt, so it is difficult to do it on a chat basis

The best would be to know either some internet friend that would have time - or either using methods u could find at barns and nobles

The best way is to have a friend who understands only french. If you don't find a french friend, try this:
Learn 10 words in french every day and one or two rules of grammary a day; also, rent movies or documentaries in french and try to familiarize yourself with the sound of this language.
Also, when you read a book or a newspaper, underline every word that you don't understand and find the translation in a dictionnary. This is the way that I have learned english. Maybe I am not perfect in english but the goal is to communicate with a foreigner. Another good way is to hear french music. If you like the music, you will be more willing to translate the words.
I am sure that you will be able to learn french!

I am french and I live in UK so I could help you but it is quite difficult to teach a language by internet, that means a lot of hours in front of the computer and this is not my favourite pastime. You can start to read an easy book or watch french films with subtitles of course, and why not looking at the news on yahoo.fr! If you need some special translations, you can still ask me.

Italian.macho, you forgot wine!!! Damned

I would be happy to, but unless you live in central Florida, private lessons at the local Cafe are out of question ;)

Anyways, since you already know american and spanish, you should not have any problem.

Head for the closest Barnes and Noble. They have a nice selection of books to learn french and you will need a good reference for the grammar.

The previous answer mentionned listening to music. Works well if you can get a printed version of the lyrics. You can order pretty much any CD or book from Amazon.fr with a regular Amazon.com account.

Try watching movies in french with english subtitles -there are lots of DVDs released on the US market that come with a french soundtrack/sub-titles thanks to our canadian neighbours.

If you ever want to play french DVDs (Euro zone), don't forget you will need a multi zone DVD player.

You can also join a local french club. There was one in Orlando that met on a weekly basis.

Hope this helps...
