De Valle or Del Valle is a relatively common family name in Spain. I mean, a last name. It means from the valley. You can check it by adding your last name in the site of the Spanish yellow pages.

del Valle could be, but we all know that authorities at that time didn't care very much about spelling, so maybe they made a mistake and never changed it.
Valle is a Spanish word, it does not come from other language.
Valle or del Valle works as first or last name. In Venezuela there is a famous Virgin, called Virgen del Valle.
It was used very often a geographic identification to specify the family, maybe your family were living on the Valley (Valle) but there were another family from the Mountains or by the lake or things like that.

Well, yes, I suppose it comes from a spanish name. The word "Valle" means valey, so it's as if your surname was valley. I don't know anyone with this surname, but, as I've just told you, I suppose it comes from this language because of the meaning (and existence) of this word in spanish.
I hope I've helped you!
