Spiacente, parlo migliore italiano di gli scrivo....I stavo domandandosi che città o città recomend per due (vecchio 19 anni) ragazze americane giovani vivreste dentro per un anno. Grazie!
Sorry, I'm not very good at writing in Italian...I'm better at speaking it. I'll ask the question again because I'm not for sure if I made much sense in Italian. What city or town would you recomend for two 19 year old American girls that will be living in Italy for a year? And could you also tell me why you suggest it...thanks so much for the help!

i think Rome is the best..i live in Turin and would move to Rome... is a great place, full of life, more friendly, better food, everything is better there...
Milan is big but sad, grey and cold (like Turin...)..
have fun

Roma and Milano are the 2 most popular and also important city in italy...but i, probably, prefer smaller cities..
if you have to stay here to study, the better city is Bologna.
if you have to stay in italy to work...milano and roma, for you that are american, are the best...and also all the city on the sea (napoli, ravenna, rimini, all the citie of Sardinia) are a good choise because you can use the know of english to find a better job.

It depens on what you' re looking for......really.
Firenze (Florence) is perhaps the most artistic one.
Rome too....and people there are quite friendly (So they said...)
Milano is good just for pollution and headache.....^_^

All in all u should be a bit more specific about yr budget and needs, most teacher who come to italy to refine the italian they know already get sent to perugia, but that is if yr talking abt learning the language, it's quite an easy city to live in as well, for the rest i must say that of the big named cities, rome is the cheapest to get a decent life stile, siena is not bad as well, also keep in mind the weather , do't know where you live , but be sure italy is not only warm weather!

settle in NAPOLI.
Can not get a job there, but you will have fun (actually..they will have fun ith "you").
No seriously now:
Think about Tuscany..Siena would be great, not so much expensive, quite international, great landscapes, artists coming from worldwide
good luck
