Hi! I think that if you are with the right person every place can be romantic…!!
Anyhow, as the other members of yahoo had already told you, here in Italy there are a lot of romantic places: Rome, Venice, Florence….you only have to choose!!!
As far as the language don’t worry many Italian shopkeepers, especially the ones in the town centre, can speak English!!
Have a good time!!!

Are you travelling alone or with your boyfriend?
Anyway we have a wide range of places: from histiory to business cities; we have lakes (like Garda, Maggiore...), mountains and so on...
It's up to u... I like mountains a lot... you can walk enjoing wonderfull landscapes, the nature smell....and have a rest...
I think u shouldn't find big problems with the language.....everyone can speak English a little especially in touristic places.....
Enjoy our country...... Bye

go to big cities.in small towns is not easy find english speaking people . Venezia is wonderful and very romantic, but a little expensive; rome and florence are also fantastic, milan in summer is quite calm...you can find very good places to see inToscana (siena, pisa) so is the south, such as naples, for example..i'm mentioning only big cities, but you can find romantic places in evry part of italy..sicily and sardegna are also fantastic and quite crowded of people..for disco and entertainment go to Emilia Romagna (rimini, riccione), very touristic and funny place!
Have fun!
