Wer kennt den Song...?

Question

..."put it on a ritz" und von wem ist das Lied? Ich würde ausserdem noch gerne wissen, was der Songtitel bedeutet und um was es dain dem Lied geht, mein Englisch ist zwar gut, aber reicht dafür nicht aus...Ich möchte einfach nur meinem jüngeren Bruder den Wind aus den Segeln nehmen, weil er immer denkt das Lied wäre "versaut", na ihr wisst schon: put und Ritz...
Ich hoffe eine Antwort auf diese ernst gemeinte Frage zu finden.

Zum Thema Bedeutung oder Übersetzung hab ich dies gefunden:

" .... "putting on the Ritz" bedeutet, sich nobel anziehen, herausputzen, auch im Sinne von übertrieben und protzig.

Der Name kommt von den berühmten, luxuriösen "Ritz"-Hotels, die von Cesar Ritz Anfang des 20.Jhdts. in Paris und London gegründet wurden.

Irving Berlin reimt in seinem Musical an einer Stelle: "Puttin' on the Ritz - a tribute to glitz"

Es gibt auch noch das Adjektiv "ritzy", das opulent, luxuriös, auch snobistisch bedeutet...."
