You have to be born in Canada.You can immigrate and become a citizen,but you will never get rid of the fact that you are a landed immigrate.

Steps for you:
Get training in lumberjackness.
Grow a beard. It's OK to use a fake one if you're a woman.
Hunt and kill a polar bear, skin it, and start wearing the thing.
