It seems like they take FOREVER to say something, so I hang up before they even get a chance to say anything. I am not rude to them either when I do talk to them to say that I'm not interested. What do you do?

i have two phones. A cell and a land line. Whenever I fill out a form or something that asks for my phone number I give them the land line number. I never pick that one up and always let the answering machine take it. This gets rid of 99% of telemarketers. The remaining 1% that call me on my cell I just hang up right away, right in the middle of a sentence. They're not going to take my cell minutes with that garbage.
One time I had come home drunk from a party and had some fun with them. Some lady from some newspaper told me that the paper was "award winning". I replied, "Award winning!? That is HOT! Just how many awards has it won?" She said she wasn't sure and transferred me to her manager and I had some more fun.

Or hand the phone to someone else.
There is this list you can get on so they wont call you.

I simpily say "I'm not interested" whether they are done speaking are not, then hang up. =)

Hang up on 'em. I used to be polite and say "no thanks", but I don't even bother anymore.
