No not a rat, they are too big. But I once cleaned an ex boyfriend's hobby room, it was such a mess and I couldn't stand it anymore. While busy, I found 4 baby mice, they were so cute and so small. I left them aside hoping the mother would come and claim them back, but she never did. In the meantime one of the babies left the nest and the guy I had hired to help me, accidently stepped on it. Oh that was so awful. But it was an accident. The other three got names and became temporary pets until they were big enough to be set free.

No, and don't say that! My baby is running around me right now, and he likes to hideout in my blankets. I am always afraid either me or my son is not going to see him sometime, and squash him. I have to tell my son a thousand times everyday to look out for him. He's a sweet Rat. He doesn't bite, and he loves to chase our hands when we scratch the carpet, and he runs in circles! He's so much fun. His name is Reign.

No, even if I was quick enough I don't think I could bring myself to even hurt one much less kill one.

Maybe it because my children kept them as pets, and I could see just how intelligent they are, and what characters they each had.

If I have unwanted visitors in my house, it would have to be a pest control man, and I would stand outside until the ghastly deed is done - I know - coward!

Kind of. There was a mouse stuck on one of those sticky traps at work one time, and it was squealing. I felt sorry for it so I took it outside, turned the trap upside down, and stomped on it really hard to put it out of it's misery. I hate those sticky traps.

No, but I have lured several onto glue traps then thrown them up against a brick wall. Although they were all mice, not rats. Once I also watched a mouse chew off it's legs trying to get off of a glue trap after I had lured it onto it and then sprayed it with "scrubbing bubbles" bathroom cleaner.
