One thing I tell myself every day is-Never give up. Just when things seem to be the darkest, something happens and it's not as bad as it could be. I can go back to a time when I had to sell my car and take the bus. I was living in a tiny apartment with my two teenagers. Times were very hard. I thought we were going to be eating hot dogs for Thansgiving, when a lady showed up with a trunk load of food to put on our table. I dont know what your problems are, but can you try to list the good things in your life? You can see and go on the computer and hopefully you can walk and hear. Focus on the positive things and just keep telling yourself-it's going to get better. Never ever give up.

Well to be perfectly honest with you, it's both.
Things COULD get better, or they COULD get worse.
That's just the reality of things. You never know exactly what kind of situation's gonna turn up tomorrow.
You just have to take what you can get.
At least you're not dead.
And if you are dead, may I suggest a lovely gravestone under a tree.
Other than that I could always just give you a speech about remaining positive.
But you sound pretty depressed, so that speech is pretty much useless.
All I can tell you is grit your teeth and hope it gets better or get up and MAKE it better.
As humans, that's pretty much the best we can do.
Good luck anyway, I hope things DO get better from here.

It's all about point of view and state of mind. Some use it as a starting point for others to "see the light" like for exampe "Things are already worse they can get so the only thing that can happen are for things to get better." But like I said state of mind. If things are really bad and seem like they're getting worse then that's a negative state of mind and it'll feel like your in rut. But if you start to see things in a positive more appealing way things will be rough but will get better.

The only time that things can't get any better is if you're on your death bed with no hope for recovery!!! And you know what I supposedly have been there twice and I'm still here. You have to have some faith in yourself and other people. I know that can be really hard when you're truly depressed but it can be done if you try hard enough. I've been treated for depression since I was nine years old, I've supposed to have died twice and I'm still here!!! I've got three disabilities, a physical one that has me on crutches, a learning disability had caused me nothing but grief in school because in the 60's they didn't know much about them then. and a psychiatric disability that has had me being treated for depression for more than 40 years. But despite all of that I've never given up on my dream to have children and to work with them and for them. I love kids I have to have them in my life for it to have any real meaning. I'm a mother to three beautiful daughter's I tutor children who have trouble reading as I know who painful that can be. I'm an advocate for children with learning disabilities as all of my children and my self have had that experience. I would not have been able to do any of those things or enjoyed my children if I'd given up because life was hard and they thought that I would die before I reached adulthood. I could have given up, but where would that have left me???? With out a lot of heartbreak sure, but with out a lot of joy and experiences that have proven to me that I matter to a lot of kids that I've helped over the years.

If you use the correct treatments; in time things should improve, unless terminally ill. Have a look at the index at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris on the homepage: most of the more common disorders, and a considerable number of others, are addressed.

Not always. It may seem that way at times but you must find a positive way to change things. Think positive, be positive and above all don't let anyone put down you or the things you want to do.
