Doctors recommend 8 hours a night for adults. Recent studies have linked hypertension, obesity and diabetes with people who do not get enough sleep. So, if you don't feel rested enough, it appears that changing your lifestyle to get more is a good thing to do.

I need at least 8 to appreciate it but most of the time it's 4 or 5 as I don't sleep well.

6 hours - I think it depends on age and activity level. I'm 37 and pretty active...but my husband is 43 and works really hard. He needs about 8 to 9 to feel rested.

I'll let you know when I finally get enough. I'm 50 and working full time plus overtime on two jobs. There aren't enough hours in a day and I can't keep up. As a matter of fact, I'm going to bed right now. Good night!
