Because alot of them are idiots. When you let someone or a group tell you how to vote & who to vote for --and you do it. Only an idiot would not think for his self. At one time the union was probably a good thing --they did get rid of child labor and improve working conditions. But now the big wigs in the union sit back and get rich on the union dues and bride money from some politicians.
