What would be an ideal type of gift for $500 spent anyway you want; multiple things, one thing, doesn't matter.

I am so tired of perfume! Everyone gets it for me and I'm sick of it.

I would love to receive gift cards.

I am a bit of a weird bird, so don't go by my answer as a guide for what most ladies would or wouldn't like. I am not into jewelry and designer fashion stuff and would much prefer something practical for the home that I really could use (although if I get an appliance that implies more domestic chores and housework, that's not necessarily a great thing either!)

In the $500 range, I think I would really like something like a good digital camera or camcorder along with a good photo quality printer. Or possibly a blackberry or iphone type gadget. A laptop if you could get one for that price, which I doubt. Or some really nice things for the house--antique accent furniture, etc.

As to the first part of your question, my mama taught me to be grateful for whatever I receive. Cheap bath stuff isn't my favorite, and I'm not wild about fruitcake or those boxed food gift things either!

I always get kitchen items, I'm a plus size woman. I suppose no one thinks they can find clothing for me. What I am naked? No I shop in stores just like they do. Just some with a different name. The best gift for me would be a nice weekend or day at a hotel with a spa. Nothing fancy, just a message and a little attention.

I don't worry too much about Christmas gifts. If the same people keep giving me the same type of gifts I just drop them in the first garbage can I come by. They should put more thought into what they're doing and stop carelessly grabbing something off the shelf.

One thing I get every year is stuff from Bath and Body Works. Dont' get me wrong- I love their stuff, but I have so much of it and I just can't use it all! Honestly I usually regift it for b-days throughout the year because I will never use it all!! As far as gifts to receive, a nice digital camera is always nice, a video camera, a new IPod, things like that...and jewelry is always on my list!

I can't stand knick knacks. They're just dust collectors. The gifts I prefer are practical. Believe it or not, but some of the best gifts I've ever received are a delivery of fuel oil, gift cards to grocery stores, toilet paper, paper towels and kleenex. I loved it! I could use every single thing! =)

I get a lot of makeup, the problem is I can only used the hypoallergenic kind. So I end up giving it to my sister or just stuffing it on a drawer.
My ideal type of gift would be lots and lots of books (I love to read!) or maybe tickets to a show or concert (I never get any of those and would love to).

The BEST all time gift my husband ever got me...and this may sound stupid was my very own tool box full of tools. He had it made just for me...lighter weight hammer, basic socket set, screw drivers, etc. This showed me that he not only trusts me to fix something on my own if it needs done, but also gave me something that was not the usual garbage I would throw away because it wasn't my taste, scent, etc and hurt his feelings. Some of my family and friends snickered behind my back, but it also made me a more independent person and let them know that their husbands wouldn't trust them with a potato gun let alone power tools. Was it romantic? Nope. Was it the usual gift? Nope. But to be absolutely honest...I have used it more than I ever thought I would, appreciated it over and over, and each time I thought of him.

I hate getting candles & itchy sweaters. An ideal gift for me would be $500 in my Paypal account, so I can buy more chickens and ducks (fancy show birds). I like poultry.

I would perfer you send me on a relaxing cruise. You can get them for around 500 if you book two weeks before Christmas or two weeks after New Years. Good Luck
