not that long ago it was the other way around,no one wanted autos cause the manual was more reliable,the auto is a stronger box and in todays terms the auto has evolved to be hassle free and more reliable than the manual....preference seems to set the price on many items....i think

Automatics cost more to manufacture then Maual transmissions. you also have more weight with an automatic then you do with a manual.

that because car with AT weight moree than car with MT and second is that AT works for them self and it's mor reliable and beside you can eat, rest or do whatever with AT than with MT because with MT is that you have to keep you eye on road all the time and you have to keep changing your shift too and also car with AT have an Armrest but car with MT don't have one. so like i told you that car with AT work for them self but car with MT. you have to work them and you control your MT engine instead of AT it control it self.

simple less maintenance needed, also most people do not know how to drive a stick.
