He will probably win in NH, and come it at least second in IA.
He's polling in the double digits in NH, and last I heard 9% in IA. That was tied for 4th with Tancredo. But those polls are all biased, as they don't generally poll his main supporter base. (the young and the elderly)
@Yun - He never said he wants to get rid of the military, and have us protected by state malitias. He said, specifically, that he wants to bring our troops home, and use them here to secure our borders. If that is your only reason for not supporting him, you may want to do some more research.

It's impossible for me to predict how others will vote, sorry.
I will say this, I feel Ron Paul is still struggle-ing to get name recognition. A very good showing in New Hampshire may force many undecided voters across the country to spend some time researching, not only his { some say, radical} political promises,,,,,but his "SOLUTIONS" to the problems.
I don't know how many times I've seen here at Y. A. "He Wants To Abolish The I. R. S.?!", without taking the time to do the research on exactly how he intends to run the smaller government, money wise.
Here is how he intends to do it:
Collect excise taxes. {Excise taxes are a tax on finished products} and he wants to enforce tariffs on imported goods.
I think they're good sound ideas. A tariff right now, with America importing so much that the trade deficit has/is sinking the value of the dollar, could possibly make the personal income tax a thing of the past.
Of course all Ron's plans would take a while to implement, but if we the people start right now to support him in the primary elections,,,,,I feel we will see a GREAT change in America!
The current American political road is the road to financial ruin! The Ron Paul road, is the road to PEACE & PROSPERITY!!!
I'm taking the Ron Paul Freeway!!!

When I went up to vacation in New Hampshire a few weeks ago, all I saw was giant Ron Paul posters. Ron Paul could very well win New Hampshire. Although I am not sure at all about Iowa.
My apologies for only having half an answer.

i thought he was already in double digits in new hampshire? i dont know about iowa. i havent heard much of late. i think he will do really good overall. ever since the feds raided liberty dollar and seized 2 tons of gold medallions with ron paul on it- people are up in arms, asking questions etc. looks like the dumb fed agent did us a big favor as far as the election goes. maybe he isnt as dumb as i thought he was after all.
as for ron paul- look at what he is saying. he isnt the kook a lot say he is. in fact go to dailyreckoning.com and read the article about our economy. we are headed for a major collapse. i suspect it will happen before the election though.

Do you remember November 5th, when Paul raised 4.2 millinon in one day from individual contributions ? December 16th on the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party Paul is going to top it. He is up to 8% in both of these places and is just going to continue to rise as more and more people get to know him a little, The ads he has produced are working.

Honestly, I hope not. I also don't think he will.
I like some of the things he stands for, but he reaches too far in those (how can you cut taxes, disband the IRS and income tax, and reduce the national debt simultaneously?).
I think his military ideas are ridiculous (how can a nation the size of ours with so many open areas hope to defend itself and its interests on a global level with nothing but state militias?).
He's done a good job of marginalizing himself. He has made extreme statements that make him look foolish. None of the other candidates really like him or respect him, since he's pretty happy to lash out at them.
My big fear is that he'll drop being Republican and go on his own, which would be terrible in the Presidential race, he'd draw support away from the Republicans, and it looks like it might be a tight race this time.

Doubtful, but you never know. Nothing is certain. I'm more inclined toward Huckabee getting it.
