I did a real tree for years. I always ended up cursing at the damn thing and getting into arguments with my boyfriend about it. It was either to big, didn't stay up, needles everywhere, etc. Don't get me wrong they smell great but, is it really worth all the hassle. If you want a hassle free christmas I would say fake. There are some really nice ones out there and you can always get some spray that smells like pine.

I always use a fake christmas tree, its safer, and cheaper to re use year after year. But i miss the fresh smell of a live tree. But i would much rather enjoy trees out in nature then have one for not even a month and then throw it away. I use the fake tree, (made of fire resistant material) and i will get pine scented candles ;P
