If you say yes than get off A-Rods back

I have been arguing this over and over, he is doing exactly what his contract said that he could do, he is doing what every other person in the US would do without question if they were in his shoes. He did the right thing but not very many people will admit that he did because they can not handle the fact that Baseball brings in way more money than most corporations therefore they pay more than most Corporations.

It depends on what was asked with the raise. If it was for doing exactly what I'm doing now with no strings attached then yes I would take it. I don't fault A-Rod at all for what he did, timing could have been better, sorry you don't try to trump a potential world series title game, but everything he did was well within his rights as negociated in his previous contract.

Now if he were to say give me more money or I'm not playing when he was under contract for three or four more years I would rip on him...especially if he was earning more then some third world countries at the time.

Yes I would, but that's not what's going on with Alex Rodriguez. He's the one who wanted 350 Million Dollars for 10 years, with at least a 4 Million signing bonus. Now he was offered a raise but that was AFTER he was nearly signed with the Yankees.

This is in the wrong context... not too many "regular" jobs out there have contracts with employees and "option years"... it isn't like there are only 30 teams and less than 1,000 people out there who are good enough to do your particular job...
There aren't too many employers out there that are waiting for you to hit the "market" and make a contract offer to you to come to their company. And then you decide you want to opt out and possibly return to the employer that you left four years ago. It would be highly unlikely that the employer would even consider you.
Try a little harder to compare similar issues and not take it out of context, because your question is way out of context.

What a insult to furnish the recent workers greater and ask you to coach them. in case you're in any respect attracted to creating the pass, i think of you will desire to make a counter furnish and say you will pass with the business enterprise once you're making a minimum of as a lot by way of fact the recent hires.

Yeah . . . but we're aren't talking a guy who can barely afford the price of the damned ticket to get him into the park.

We are talking about an American Icon that can make a difference in his profession and just wants the cash cause he's greedy . . .

I'm on his back and that's where I'll stay.

Wow thats a clever analogy........NOT how bout this one if you quit your job thinking you could get paid more somewhere else and found out that nobody thought you were worth anywhere near what u wanted, would u take a paycut and save face,or would you crawl back to your OLD boss an beg him to take you back.with your wife dragging u by the shorthairs.

You're right. Not only that, anyone who says "No" is lying. It is the owners people should be down on. As usual, blame the enlisted men for the general's bad leadership.
